ARISTAR mission concept visualisation

ARISTAR Mission

DORUS Space Lab is developing ARISTAR, an advanced mission concept dedicated to high-precision space-based monitoring of orbital debris. The mission addresses space‑based observation challenges through optimised constellation design and in‑orbit demonstration of quantum sensing technologies, contributing to the global space situational awareness.

Supported by the GEORB software suite, ARISTAR utilises state-of-the-art Precise Orbit Determination (POD) and high-fidelity dynamics modelling to achieve unprecedented accuracy for space debris orbits.

Furthermore, as a versatile multi-sensor platform, ARISTAR is also envisioned to host the ARIS mission concept, an ambitious research initiative focused on investigating higher-order derivatives of the gravitational potential.

MAGIC Mission

Mass Change and Geophysics International Constellation (MAGIC) mission is a future joint gravity mission by National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the European Space Agency (ESA). The constellation will consist of ESA’s Next Generation Gravity Mission (NGGM) and NASA’s Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment-Continuity (GRACE-C) future missions.

GRACE-FO Mission

Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) missions are joint missions of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the German Aerospace Center (DLR) with the goal of measuring precise changes of the Earth’s gravitational field and climate change modelling through monitoring of water storage, ice sheets, glaciers, sea level and solid Earth.

DORUS hosts a data analysis capability for computing GRACE-FO mission’ scientific data products of precise orbits, in-orbit calibrated accelerometer data and gravity field models. The GRACE-FO data products are being computed and delivered through the GEORB software suite.
